How to invest
Investment can be carried out individually through a stockbroker or through investment clubs.

Stockbroker
Any person wishing to invest in the Stock Exchange has to contact a stock broking company, as all transactions in securities must take place through a stockbroker.

Eleven (11) stockbroking companies operate on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius. Each stockbroking company holds a license granted by the Minister of Finance on the recommendation of the Stock Exchange Commission. Stockbroking Companies are required to have at least two duly licensed stockbrokers who have satisfied minimum entry requirements and passed the prescribed stockbrokers examination.

Investment Clubs
Investment clubs have as objective the collective management of a securities portfolio, with the help of a financial intermediary, that is a stockbroker.
