Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM)
The SEM is a private limited company which operates, manages, and maintains the Stock Exchange. It provides the required facilities for dealings in securities, and it runs a Clearing House.

Stock Exchange Commission (SEC)
Enacted in 1988, SEC , a regulatory body set out to control and supervise the operation of the Stock Exchange, has now ceded its activities to the Financial Services Commission ( FSC ). The latter is responsible for the safeguard of the interests of investors and verifies that all dealings in securities are transparent. Licenses to stockbrokers and stockbroking companies can be granted only on the recommendation of the FSC, as it is the sole authority empowered to do so.
