The day-to-day running of the MCCI is carried out by a Secretariat located in the Chamber's offices in Port Louis. The MCCI Secretariat also supervises the functioning of the Centre for Business Studies and of the Duty Refund Counter located at the airport.

The Secretariat is headed by a Secretary-General, assisted by a Deputy Secretary-General, and has other 45 staff members who are divided into two teams; management and administrative.

The management team comprises professionals as Heads of Divisions through which the MCCI conducts its mission; Trade Division, Legal and Business Facilitation Division, Communications and Promotion Division, Economic Analysis and Industry Division and the Training Centre.
