The Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team in the following role:

RECEPTIONIST

Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Answer and manage incoming and outgoing phone calls professionally.
• Operate and maintain the PABX phone system efficiently.
• Ensure a safe and clean reception area by adhering to sanitary procedures and protocols.
• Greet, welcoming and direct visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Provide basic and accurate information about the MCCI and its subsidiaries in person, via phone, or email.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, scanning and photocopying.
• Receive and sort daily mail and other documents in an organized manner.
• Process Certificates of Origin (COO) and maintain records for COO deposits on the MNS Tradenet portal.
• Daily Submission of Manifest.
• Perform any other administrative duties as assigned by the reporting line.

Requirements:

• Higher School Certificate (HSC) with a minimum of three years' of experience as a Receptionist or/and Guest Relations Officer.
• Demonstrate professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• Experience with multi-line phones and customer service preferred.
• Ability to work independently, with flexibility, integrity and tact while maintaining effective interactions with staff and visitors.
• Professional attitude and appearance with a welcoming demeanor.
• A positive team player with strong collaboration skills.
• Strong multi-tasking and time-management abilities to handle various responsibilities efficiently.
