The seat of the MCCI is situated at 6, Adolphe de Pletvitz street,Port-Louis. The MCCI runs a Tax Tourist Refund Counter at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. It also manages the MCCI Business School which is located in the Cyber City in Ebène.

  • Communications Planner

    The Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry wishes to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated person to fill the following position:

     

    Communications Planner

     

    Responsibilities

    • Draft invitation letters for all MCCI events.
    • Maintain press relations.
    • Assist in the design and production of event materials, such as invitation cards, brochures, advertising artworks, press releases, and general MCCI collaterals.
    • Write a variety of different content to support communications and marketing efforts, including newsletters, website copy, and brochures and press releases.
    • Assist and coordinate in the design and drafting of marketing materials.
    • Provide writing and editing services for communications and marketing projects as assigned.
    • Assist in implementing a marketing and communications strategy designed to further company objectives.
    • Coordinate and monitor communications and marketing strategies on social media.
    • Monitor analytics and create reports detailing the successes and failures of communications campaigns and strategies.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to support promotional events.
    • Perform outreach to press outlets, magazines, influencers and build strategic partnerships to grow brand notoriety.
    • Perform other job-related duties as required.

     

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Journalism in any other relevant fields.
    • Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • At least five years’ experience in journalism, multimedia or communications with proven track record.
    • Must have good oral and written communication skills (French and English).
    • Good knowledge of multimedia platforms.
    • Knowledge of multimedia content.
    • Superior time management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Must be a creative thinker and a good communicator.
    • Be able to work after office hours and on weekends and public holidays.
    • Possess positive attitude.
    • A can-do attitude and collaborative work style, with the ability to react positively to rapidly changing circumstances.
    • Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Familiar with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint and capable of creating visually compelling presentations.
    • Proficient public speaking abilities are an asset.
    • An analytical mind and ability to think critically.
