Business updates

The 169th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the MCCI was held today, Thursday 29th March 2018, at the Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel, Caudan, Port-Louis at 9:30 am.

The Past-President, Mr. Azim Currimjee, delivered a speech on the State of the Economy. Hon. Seetanah Lutchmeenaraidoo, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Hon. Ashit Kumar Gungah, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Consumer Protection, and Hon. Soomilduth Sunil Bholah, Minister of Business, Enterprise and Cooperatives, also addressed members on this occasion.

The new Council was also elected during the AGM. Mr. Marday Venkatasamy CSK, from Filao Ltée (Industry Group), has been elected as President of the MCCI for the year 2018/2019, and he is supported by the Vice-President, Mr. Ganesh Ramalingum, from OTAM (ICT Group).
