Mr. Amil Emamdin, the representative of Freightnet Cargo Services Ltd, has been appointed as the new President of the Association Professionnelle des Transitaires (APT) for the period of 2019-2020, during the Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday 20 March 2019 at the MCCI, Port Louis. Mr. Gupta Gopaul, representative of Velogic, has been appointed as Vice-President.

The outgoing President, Mr. Gupta Gopaul, highlighted the achievement of the Association during the year 2018, namely with regards to certain amendments to the Customs Act that had an impact on the business of freight forwarders and the unflinching support of the Association towards improving the ease of doing business. He added that the close collaboration between APT and other stakeholders, both from the public and private sector, has been very successful.

It is to be recalled that the MCCI provides the Secretariat for the Association Professionnelle des Transitaires (APT) since 2005.
