Belgian Ambassador visits the MCCI

MCCI 21 Oct 2026

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Mauritius, H.E. Mrs Lot Debruyne, visited the MCCI on Wednesday 21 October.

Based at the Belgian Embassy in Dar es Salaam, H.E. Mrs Lot Debruyne’s jurisdiction also covers Tanzania, Comoros, Malawi and Zambia. She was received by Secretary General Dr Drishtysingh Ramdenee, Mrs Rooma Narrainen, Head of Advocacy and Mrs Hansini Bhoobdasur, International Relations & Communications Manager.

Efforts in networking and B2B interaction would aim to grow trade between the two countries, with Mauritian companies already established in other markets well placed to find similar openings in Belgium.

Mauritius also hopes to raise its profile in Belgium as a gateway for investment into Africa, with opportunities in services today and in larger projects in the years ahead.
