Cap Business Océan Indien: Mr. Chamsouddine Ahmed Elected as President

Mr. Chamsouddine Ahmed, President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts of the Comoros (UCCIA), was elected President of Cap Business Océan Indien (OI) on Friday 16 May 2025,during its General Assembly.

 

He will lead a newly appointed Board of Directors, composed of the association’s founding members, elected for the 2025–2027 term.

Mr. Ahmed succeeds Mr. Guillaume Hugnin, President of Cap Business OI from 2023 to 2025 and Past President of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), who also served as Treasurer of the association from 2021 to 2023.

 

The Board will be tasked with overseeing the implementation of projects aligned with the 2021–2026 Roadmap.

 

Cap Business OI’s ongoing mission remains to promote regional economic cooperation in the southwest Indian Ocean region, covering the territories of Comoros, Réunion, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte, and Seychelles.

 

The composition of the new Board of Directors is as follows:

 

  • President: Mr. Chamsouddine Ahmed, President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts of the Comoros (UCCIA)
  • Vice-President: Mrs. Marie-Nadine Angelie, elected member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Réunion (CCIR)
  • Secretary: Mrs. Shabnam Esmael, elected member of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI)
  • Treasurer: Mr. Gil Razafintsalama, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Antananarivo (CCIA)
  • Assistant Treasurer: Mr. Bourahima Ali Ousseni, elected member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mayotte (CCI Mayotte)
