Exploring Trade and Investment Opportunities: Business Delegation from Taiwan Meets with the MCCI

The Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) welcomed a delegation from the Taiwan Trade Centre in South Africa at its Port Louis office on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.

The delegation included Mr. CJ Lo, Director of the Economic Division at Taipei Liaison Office in South Africa, Mr. Peter Liu, General Manager of Bank of Taiwan – South Africa Branch, Mr. Matthew Liou, Advisory at African Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce (ATCC), and Ms. Ellen Hsu, Director of the Taiwan Trade Centre in Johannesburg.

Leading the discussions were Dr. Drishtysingh Ramdenee, Secretary General and Mrs. Sarada Moothoosamy, Head of Finance and Management.

MCCI members actively contributed to the meeting, exchanging insights and exploring avenues for business partnerships and investment collaboration. Key sectors represented were Financial Services, Real Estate and Consumer Products & Retail.

The session provided a platform to identify new avenues for bilateral trade, promote business collaboration between Mauritius and Taiwan and encourage private sector engagement.
