The Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security has reviewed the evolution of the omicron variant on the international scene and has decided to lift the 48 hours isolation period on import of cut flowers, fruits and vegetables from South Africa.

The said precautionary measure was implemented on Saturday 27th of November 2021, with the aim of reducing the risks of omicron variant reaching Mauritius through air transportation.
