Business updates

The Secretary General of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr Drishtysingh Ramdenee, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr Heinrich Giovanni April, High Commissioner of South Africa to Mauritius and the Seychelles, on 19 October 2026.

South Africa is a key market for Mauritian businesses. The discussion covered ways of facilitating trade between the two countries, opportunities for cooperation in sectors where both have shared interests, and the potential for investment in both directions.

Both sides agreed to follow up on matters raised and to look at practical ways of bringing the two business communities closer.
