Procedures for submission of Certificates of Conformity under the new Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations 2017 online

The Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations 2017 will be in force as from the 1st October 2017 to regulate the safety standards of several domestic and electrical appliances including toasters, ovens, dish-washing machines, televisions and fluorescent lamps, amongst others.

 

Following a request from the MCCI, the Mauritius Standards Bureau (MSB) has issued the Guidelines so as to facilitate the process for the verification of Certificates of Conformity. The Application Form as well as the Table of Goods which have to be filled in by the importer and submitted to MSB have also been published. The documents can be accessed below:
