The Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) participated in the 4th edition of Mauritius Clean Energy Week 2026, held on Wednesday 8 July 2026 at the Hennessy Park Hotel.

Reaffirming its commitment to supporting Mauritius' energy transition and sustainable economic development, Dr. Drishtysingh Ramdenee, Secretary General, intervened in a panel discussion on "Utility-Scale Solar Projects in Mauritius: Grid Integration, Hybrid Systems and Floating Solar Feasibility."

The session brought together leading experts from the energy sector to examine the opportunities and challenges surrounding the deployment of utility-scale solar projects, including grid integration, energy storage, investment frameworks, technological innovation and policy measures to advance Mauritius' renewable energy ambitions.

Moderated by Mr. Naveen Kumar, Rating Head at CareEdge Africa, the panel included Mr. Heeranraj Mohabirsingh, Solar Business Director, Huawei, Mr. Khalid Said, CEO, Gridtech Infrastructure, Mr. Kevin Padiachy, Head of Africa Desk, Omnicane Management & Consultancy Ltd, Mr. Vinesh Chintaram, Managing Director / CEO, VISIO Architecture Ltd and Mr. James Jolly, Chairman, RA Group of Companies.
