Masterclass on New EU General Data Protection Regulation and Cybersecurity Nexus Threats & Solutions

Venue: Le Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel, Caudan, Port Louis | Time: 08 30 -13 30 Conference

The MCCI is pleased to announce a Masterclass on the following themes:

  • The New EU General Data Protection Regulation- Consequences and Actions for Mauritian Businesses

The new EU General Data Protection Regulation will enter into force by 2017. This regulation will be directly applicable in all EU Member States without the need for implementing national legislation. Resources are being engaged worldwide to ensure adequate preparation and compliance. Mauritian Businesses  dealing with EU data subjects will also need to ensure full compliance with this new regulation. Anticipating and preparing for this change is therefore crucial.

  • The Cybersecurity Nexus- Dealing with Threats through Best Practices and Practical Strategies

The Cybersecurity Nexus is at the center of everything that is coming next. With the internet increasingly impacting on our traditional business processes/models,  the whole Cybersecurity Nexus involving the State, the Critical Infrastructure, the Data Transfer/Exchange providers and Business Operators, requires a strategic approach against potential threats that can significantly harm institutional and business activities. Get the knowledge, tools, guidance and connections to be at the forefront of a vital and rapidly changing business environment.
