Shenzhen Business Forum: Business opportunities in China discussed

In view of strengthening the cooperation between Shenzhen and Mauritius, the Shenzhen Outbound Alliance and the Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, in collaboration with the Economic Development Board, organised a B2B on Monday 23rd September 2019.

 

The Secretary General of the MCCI, Mr. Barlen Pillay, was invited to deliver a keynote speech on this occasion. During his speech, he invited the Chinese business people to seize this opportunity to use Mauritius as a hub to Africa as we are strategically positioned.

 

He also highlighted Mauritius as the ideal venue for arbitration cases in case of disputes. He underlined the services offered by the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the MCCI, the MARC, and stressed upon the MoU signed between Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration and MARC in November 2017.

 

Mr. Francois Guibert, CEO of EDB, also delivered a presentation on the investment schemes and opportunities in Mauritius. 

 

An introduction about the business environment of Shenzhen was done by Mr. Gao Lin, Counsel, Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality who also stated that the business forum was a good opportunity to deepen economic and trade ties in various fields and to showcase the opportunities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area.
