UNECA - Online Training: Technology and Innovation

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP), in collaboration with United Nations (UN) agencies are organizing an online training on the theme Technology and Innovation, from 12th July – 12th August 2021.

The Role of Technology and Innovation for African Businesses in Addressing the Impact of COVID-19, is the 4 week online course which will focus on technology and innovation as critical drivers for enhancing the workers’ and factor productivity and firm's competitiveness while enhancing economic growth through total factor productivity growth.

Covid-19 has had adverse effects on the African continent and in particular businesses and Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In order to support member states in addressing the impacts of Covid-19 this course aims to develop and implement capacity building tools for governments and MSMEs.
