HKIAC holds a seminar in collaboration with MCCI

The Hong Kong International Arbitration Center (HKIAC) teamed up with MARC and the MCCI on 11 May 2016 for the holding of a talk on the theme 'Chinese Colbertism? - A distinct way of doing business in Africa'.

 

This event sought to unveil some of the opportunities that foreign companies can enjoy when engaging with Chinese investors in international contract and dispute matters with a focus on the successful relationship with Mauritius.

 

H.E. Mr. Li Li, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Mauritius delivered the keynote address at this event.

 

Main speakers participating in the discussions afterwards were Ms.  Teresa Cheng SC, Chairperson, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, Mr. Raju Jaddoo, Secretary-General, Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Neil Kaplan CBE QC SBS, International Arbitrator, Arbitration Chambers Hong Kong, Dr. Rama Sithanen GCSK MP, Former Finance Minister of Mauritius, and Ms. Maria-Krystyna Duval, Managing Counsel, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre.
